Lessons
I have a court in the falls area, also teaching at private homes and other parks or tennis clubs in the Miami area. I am willing to travel to a facility more convenient to you. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with players from the beginner to elite level. My purpose within a lesson is dependent on your level more so than your age:
Beginner
My purpose is to teach you the proper grip to hold. We will begin with basic eye-hand coordination drills, some initially without a racquet in hand, as well as basic introduction to movement and footwork drills. I will show you proper basic swing technique on groundstrokes, volleys, and serves. I will evaluate you in our first assessment lesson and from there we can discuss your prospective goals. My guarantee is to introduce the basic fundamentals of tennis and to make sure our time spent together is enjoyable for you. Tennis is a beautiful game and my goal is to clearly translate how much fun we can have with this sport.
Intermediate
My purpose is to apply my tennis knowledge and expertise to teach you everything in my ability to help your tennis game progress. I believe the player-coach relationship is a key factor in our rate of development so I take pride in building a solid connection. An intermediate player can be a child or teenager who plays on or would like to make their school team or play competitive tennis. This level player can also be an adult who plays competitively or aspires to compete in some sort of match play. With any intermediate player we will have an introduction assessment lesson where I will identify your weaknesses and work to improve these. I will correct the way your grip is held if needed. I will correct your swing technique, introduce you to ideal court positioning, as well as the incredible significance of a positive mental approach to tennis. We will discuss court sense and strategy of the game. At the intermediate level we will only get into these things as the individual is ready.
Elite
My purpose is to apply my tennis knowledge and quality experience competing and coaching at a very high level. I know what it takes to be a top junior player nationally, to receive a full scholarship to a top national program and to coach players to accomplish these same feats. Our first lesson will be an introduction assessment where I will evaluate your game and identify your weaknesses. We will discuss these as goals and there will be a clear purpose to our development plan. I believe that focusing on your weaknesses and maximizing your strengths is key to your progress. My commitment to having a purpose in each session will keep us focused and efficient in maximizing your potential. The level you can reach will be dependent on your commitment and dedication because tennis is highly competitive and it demands vigorous work to prosper.
